As stated above, the summary bit for each register is derived fromthe EVENt and the ENABle registers. The result is entered into a bit of theCONDition register of the next higher register.The instrument automatically generates the summary bit for each register. Anevent, such as a non-locking PLL, may thus cause a service request through allhierarchical levels.NOTE. The Service Request Enable Register SRE defined in IEEE 488.2 may beconsidered as the ENABle register of the STB provided that the STB is configuredin conformance with SCPI.
