On Life at Home

This is honestly a tough one, I think we all have different
favorites for different reasons. But for now
I’ll say I’m loving the song, “Jesus Is.” The song
is super fun and catchy, but the lyrical content is
deep. The concept being that Jesus isn’t just some
historical figure, but He is alive today and the evidence
is our lives have been changed.
Please tell us why the song Mighty Men of God
is so meaningful to you, and what impact are
you hoping it will have on listeners?
Right now we are facing a culture that has discarded
the importance of what it means to be a
godly man. I have personally seen this even affect
men in the church. When this song was being
written, our heart was to create an anthem that
would stir men up to live out what it means to be
a man of God: humble, gentle and kind, but also
strong, courageous, and willing to lay down their
lives for others. Two of us in the band are dads
and we believe the best way to see this young
generation won to Christ starts in the home with
dads living passionate and authentic walks with
Jesus.
Well said! Can you share with us some of the
personal challenges you’ve faced as individuals
and/or as a group?
I think one of the biggest challenges of being in a
touring band is staying connected to the church.
We all are church guys and we have to be very
intentional to keep relationships solid with other
godly people who can continually speak into our
lives. All of us still sow into the ministries of our
churches as much as we can and that keeps
us plugged in. Another challenge is not letting
the repetitiveness of what we do make us lazy to
the true call of this band, which is to see people’s
lives changed by Christ. It can easily become just
another gig versus an opportunity to see destinies
changed forever.

your instrument as much as you can. People do
care about quality and have a hard time receiving
any message if it’s done poorly.
What’s next for The Neverclaim?
Our new record The Joy comes out July 17th, and
we are super excited to share it with the world.
We are also doing a tour with 7th Time Down and
Manic Drive this fall.

What would you say to young musicians out
there who have a gift to do music, but hesitate
for one reason or another? How would you
encourage them?
We would encourage them to be faithful in the
little things and let God open the doors. Serve
your church faithfully and don’t be afraid to promote
what you’re doing. If you believe God has
