e<strong>at</strong> before midnight! Courtney would you mind<br />

seeing who is on the phone and unless it is a life<br />

and de<strong>at</strong>h emergency tell them I will call back.<br />

Jeremiah, I need you to empty the dishwasher<br />

in this century, preferably now so we can have<br />

dishes to e<strong>at</strong> on when the casserole comes out<br />

of the oven!”<br />

spouse as a family? Not with barked commands<br />

or angry tirades of frustr<strong>at</strong>ion, but with real one on<br />

one communic<strong>at</strong>ion?<br />

Before our feet even hit the floor in the morning,<br />

we can have a mass of unanswered emails or<br />

messages awaiting in our inbox. Trying to prepare<br />

I’m sure your house has never sounded like this?<br />

Of course, I jest! We have all had days, maybe<br />

even weeks, or worse yet, months like this.<br />

Sometimes it seems as though our day is filled<br />

with stress and drama from morning until night.<br />

In this decade of modern technology, we can<br />

have our daily routine interrupted by an onslaught<br />

of text messages, emails, skype calls, and Facebook<br />

messages; not to mention the time honored<br />

knocks <strong>at</strong> the front door and /or phone calls. How<br />

did we ever survive without all these communic<strong>at</strong>ion<br />

options th<strong>at</strong> inund<strong>at</strong>e our day, and sometimes<br />

our peace as well? How can we possibly<br />

find time to simply interact with our children and
