Like everything else, wh<strong>at</strong> we do can get repetitive.<br />
It takes the Holy Spirit, and the wonderful<br />
support groups we have around Finding Favour, to<br />
give us support and keep us focused on our ministry.<br />
It’s not th<strong>at</strong> we’re unappreci<strong>at</strong>ive, but being<br />
human we get tired and worn out <strong>at</strong> times.<br />
The name comes from Proverbs 3 th<strong>at</strong> says if we<br />
live by God’s commands, we’ll find ‘favor with God<br />
and Man.’ It’s important to recognize the gre<strong>at</strong>ness<br />
of God and His love for us. As long as we<br />
stay grounded and mindful of His gre<strong>at</strong>ness, He<br />
will take care of the rest.<br />
Which of you are the songwriters and composers?<br />
Where do you draw or pull y o u r<br />
lyrics from? Wh<strong>at</strong> are your inspir<strong>at</strong>ions th<strong>at</strong><br />
keep you full of ideas?<br />
Blake does the songwriting for the band with cowriters<br />
in Nashville <strong>at</strong> this time. We, as a band, go<br />
with our producer into the studio and lay down the<br />
instrument<strong>at</strong>ion for the songs. Writing gre<strong>at</strong> songs<br />
is not an easy task. It takes experience and knowing<br />
wh<strong>at</strong> will connect and impact fans and listeners.<br />
Are there other artists you’d like to work with,<br />
perhaps collabor<strong>at</strong>e with, or even tour with <strong>at</strong><br />
some point in the future?<br />
We’re excited about this season we’re in, as we’ve<br />
had the honor of touring with some favorite groups<br />
like Newsboys, Kutless and Audio Adrenaline.<br />
We also love bands like Switchfoot and Needtobre<strong>at</strong>he,<br />
among so many others. There’s still so<br />
much room to grow, and our main goal is to keep<br />
moving forward and let God guide us.<br />
I read th<strong>at</strong> all of you were raised in Christian<br />
family homes? How significant of a factor<br />
would you say th<strong>at</strong> is in your ability to make<br />
music?<br />
Growing up and living in Christian homes play a<br />
role to a certain extent. Wh<strong>at</strong> plays an even bigger<br />
role are our own rel<strong>at</strong>ionships with the F<strong>at</strong>her.<br />
Through His guidance and our understanding of<br />
who He is - love, p<strong>at</strong>ience, kindness, just, forgiving<br />
- is the most significant factor in the writing and<br />
shaping of a song th<strong>at</strong> glorifies Him.<br />
Wh<strong>at</strong> are your feelings about Reborn th<strong>at</strong><br />
you’re excited about sharing with listeners?<br />
Wh<strong>at</strong> impact are you hoping the album will<br />
make?<br />
We’re very excited about our first full-length album,<br />
‘Reborn.’ There’s so much packed into this thing<br />
th<strong>at</strong> it’s hard to even explain. It’s so diverse stylistically.<br />
The project is already making an impact in<br />
a profound way on and off stage. We’re so gr<strong>at</strong>eful<br />
to be used as God’s messengers.<br />
