SREB Regional Contract Program - Osteopathic Medicine and Optometry (SREB)Southern Regional Education Board Regional Contract Program Loan/Scholarship awards are available to studentsseeking an Osteopathic Medicine degree or an Optometry degree at an approved out-of-state school. Participants mayfullfil the loan-to-service obligation by serving as an osteopathic medical doctor or optometrist in Mississippi for oneyear for each year of loan received. The state pays an annual amount determined by the Southern Regional EducationBoard to the out-of-state institution to ensure seats are available for Mississippi students and to negotiate a reducedtuition for up to four (4) years or for the normal time required to complete the curriculum. To be eligible, students mustbe Mississippi residents and must attend full-time.
