The five award-winnersbring the total of Cowleyfaculty and staff who havereceived this award in the past13 years to 46.The National Institute forStaff and OrganizationalDevelopment is an annual conferencesponsored by theCommunity College LeadershipProgram at the University ofTexas-Austin. The 22nd AnnualInternational Conference onTeaching Excellence was heldMay 28-31.Hendricks, a Social Scienceinstructor, has been at Cowleysince the fall of 1992.Hendricks teaches psychologyand sociology.Mauzey, instructor andhead of the college'sCosmetology Department, hasbeen at Cowley for 24 years.Her department is located onthe lower level of Ireland Hall.Stover, Cowley's director ofcontinuing education, has beenat Cowley for eight years. Priorto her current position, Stoverserved as coordinator to developmentand college relations.MacLaughlin, Cowley'sdirector of technical theatre,teaches speech and stagecraft.He has been at Cowley for fouryears.Short, instructor in thecollege's Quality ImprovementProcess area, teaches industrialrelated courses such as blueprintreading, and also totalquality assurance.
