Theterms of the assignment identify three objectives.- Establish current status with regard to social housing in thecouncil- Indicate and specify possible objectives for the council towork towards in the development of a coherent, integratedapproach to social housing- Indicate opportunities (action areas) with a bearing on thecouncil’s future focus on sub-projects in the social housingsectorOur investigation (document studies, interviews, statistical analysesand dialogue meeting) led us to identify five thematic areas whichwe believe the council could usefully focus on in its developmentof social housing work. The list is not exhaustive. For each ofthese areas, we indicate concrete areas where running one or moresub-projects could be beneficial. A short description of each ofthem follows.The council’s current stock of housing for disadvantagedhouseholdsFurther assessment of needsBased on an internal assessment, the council’s social housingaction plan estimates the need for housing for disadvantagedhouseholds.
