NOTE: Students may lose eligibility for federal or state financial aid programs if their<br />
minimum cumulative grade point average falls below 2.0.<br />
All students will be informed of the dismissal and appeal process and deadlines prior to<br />
the end of each semester. Students readmitted to the <strong>College</strong> by the <strong>Academic</strong> Appeals<br />
Board following academic dismissal will be required to sign an <strong>Academic</strong> Probation<br />
Student Reinstatement Agreement. This document supersedes the conditions for<br />
dismissal listed in this catalog. Students readmitted to the <strong>College</strong> can be dismissed by<br />
the vice president for <strong>Academic</strong> Affairs or his designated representative at any time<br />
during the semester for non-compliance with the Reinstatement Agreement.<br />
Dismissal and Probationary Status for students enrolled with the Office of Extended Learning<br />
Students initially enrolling in part-time study are not required to matriculate into a<br />
degree program. However, all students enrolled in part-time study must be matriculated<br />
into a degree program upon the completion of 30 credits taken at <strong>Cazenovia</strong>. At the<br />
time of matriculation students will be evaluated according to the academic standards and<br />
policies set for all <strong>Cazenovia</strong> <strong>College</strong> students adjusted to the circumstances created by<br />
part-time rather than full-time study. Fifteen credits attempted is equivalent to one<br />
term‘s study by a full-time student. Evaluation of Extended Learning student<br />
performance will take place at the 15 credit intervals, subsequent to completing 30<br />
credits. If a full-time student is dismissed academically and wishes to enroll in classes on<br />
a part-time basis through the Office of Extended Learning, the student may do so but<br />
must achieve the minimum GPA standard set for full-time students within the<br />
equivalent of one term of full time study. Fifteen credits attempted is equivalent to the<br />
