A curadoria
Prêmio completam o time, unindo a experiência de profissionais
conceituados com o olhar da nova geração.
The curatorship
The analysis and selection of winners was always taken very seriously, with clear, widely disseminated
rules, and involving a wide range of professionals from different areas, including auditors.
A different group of independent curators is chosen for every edition, and the evaluation
is confidential. The group has had different compositions over the years, with directors, actors,
photographers, journalists and opinion leaders. Since 2013, all curators are makeup artists. The
team features top names in the market and includes recently awarded artists, bringing together
experienced professionals and the fresh ideas of the new generation.
maquiagem mundial. A cada edição, uma programação diferente,
pensada para o perfil do grupo. Já foram oferecidos workshops
exclusivos com Vincent Van Dyke; Mark Rappaport; Ed French;
Denise Markey; Kevin James Bennett.
Alice and Olivia.
Unforgettable experiences
Over the years, prizes included trophies and trips, and the benefit of widespread communication
of award-winners with double page ads in major national magazines. Additionally, Avon even paid
cash prizes in some editions. Since 2010, there is a new approach to prizes, and now winners
get to take part in international workshops led by great names. With every edition, there is a different
program, always focused on the group’s profile and interests. There have been exclusive
workshops with Vincent Van Dyke; Mark Rappaport; Ed French; Denise Markey; and Kevin James
Bennett. Winners have visited sets in major studios, been to key makeup trade shows and even
participated in the New York Fashion Week – they were invited to do the makeup for important
runway shows, such as Herve Leger and Alice and Olivia. Awarded artists also had a tour of Avon’s
Global Research & Development Center in Suffern, New York, where they were shown around by
Avon scientists and saw up close how the Avon makeup lines are created to be later launched
worldwide. These are unique experiences go beyond building skills: they open new horizons, and
transform the way participants see the world and their profession.
