As can be seen from Table 14A-14B the encoding speed of TU4 mode is in around 8.7 times that of TU1
mode, encoding speed of TU7 mode is 2.4 times that of TU4 mode, and encoding speed of TU7gacc mode
is around 1.3 times that of TU7 mode. In other words TU7gacc mode reflects an overall speed of around
28 times that of TU1 mode. Also, since TU1 for 4 core muli-threaded coding is typically around 63 times the
speed of HM, TU7gacc reflects a typical speedup factor of around 1800 over HM14!
A side-by-side comparison of encoding speed of different TU modes and for the 2 different resolution test
sets is shown next by the bar graphs of Fig. 18B.
