As can be seen from Table 14A-14B the encoding speed of TU4 mode is in around 8.7 times that of TU1<br />

mode, encoding speed of TU7 mode is 2.4 times that of TU4 mode, and encoding speed of TU7gacc mode<br />

is around 1.3 times that of TU7 mode. In other words TU7gacc mode reflects an overall speed of around<br />

28 times that of TU1 mode. Also, since TU1 for 4 core muli-threaded coding is typically around 63 times the<br />

speed of HM, TU7gacc reflects a typical speedup factor of around 1800 over HM14!<br />

A side-by-side comparison of encoding speed of different TU modes and for the 2 different resolution test<br />

sets is shown next by the bar graphs of Fig. 18B.<br />
