Dr. Rhys Williams
Foundation Dean of Medicine and Professor of Clinical Epidemiology at the
School of Medicine, Swansea University, Swansea, UK. His main research
interests relate to diabetes epidemiology, the provision of health care to
people with diabetes and related long-term conditions, the epidemiology
and prevention of childhood obesity and, increasingly, the evaluation of the
delivery of medical education. He has been a visiting consultant at WHO
Geneva and, until recently, was Chair of the Diabetes UK Wales Advisory
Council and a Vice-President of the International Diabetes Federation.
Amongst other publishing roles he is a past Editor-in-Chief of Diabetes Voice and is currently Editorin-Chief
of Primary Care Diabetes.
