neonatal <strong>Diabetes</strong> is a rare entity, and they are 2 different types (transient & permanent),<br />
and genetically can be differentiated. both types are different from early onset type 1<br />
diabetes.<br />
over the past 10 years, 6 babies were diagnosed to have neonatal <strong>Diabetes</strong> <strong>in</strong> our centre,<br />
genetic studies were carried out for 3 babies so far, 2 were found to have Wolcott rallison<br />
syndrome, and one was found to have maternal methylation anomalies.<br />
neonatal diabetes is relatively uncommon disease, however such these condition can<br />
prove to be fatal; pediatrician <strong>in</strong> general and neonatologiest <strong>in</strong> special should be aware of<br />
such a rare condition.<br />
