At this junction take care crossing<br />

Huddersfield Road because of the blind<br />

bend in the road, and go down<br />

Bethany Lane, an ancient highway.<br />

Pass the cottages at Barnard and at<br />

Bye Carr Farm take the bridleway, right<br />

down to Haugh Hamlet. At Haugh<br />

Fold, pass the Cedar Tree Restaurant,<br />

turn right along Haugh Lane emerging<br />

again on Huddersfield Road. Turn left<br />

and cross over the road to the Bird In<br />

Hand pub. Turn right and go up<br />

Church Street, past St Thomas Church.<br />

Continue through Bradley and take the<br />

single width path past Lower Bradley<br />

which leads to the <strong>Milnrow</strong> Memorial<br />

Park.<br />

Turn left before before you reach the<br />

park perimeter wall, and follow the<br />

path down past the War Memorial and<br />

into the park. From the park turn<br />

right, go under the motorway bridge<br />

and back down the road to the library.<br />

This walk is a distance of 3 1/2 miles<br />

and the <strong>Milnrow</strong> Library Walk and Talk<br />

group do it in 90 minutes. You should<br />

take your time and absorb the views<br />

and lovely scenery.<br />

The Walk and Talk Group meet at<br />

<strong>Milnrow</strong> Library for different 60 to<br />

90 mins walks every Monday<br />

leaving out at 10 am. It is free,<br />

friendly and everyone is welcome'<br />
