Local Area Forums:-<br />

The date for the next <strong>Milnrow</strong>, Newhey & Firgrove Local Area Forum is<br />

Thursday 8th December. This will take place from 7pm at <strong>Milnrow</strong> Cricket<br />

Club, Harbour Lane <strong>Milnrow</strong>.<br />

Please note that dates and times of these meetings are subject to change so<br />

please do not hesitate to contact your Local Townships and Engagement<br />

Officer, Tracey Knight, for Pennines on 01706 922227, who will be able to<br />

confirm dates and times of all future Local Area Forums.<br />

If you have any issues or concerns please come along to air your views. You<br />

can help to make a difference in your community.<br />

Family History<br />

Every Tuesday from 2-4pm<br />

The library subscribe to an ancestry website so you are welcome to bring<br />

along the names of your ancestors and research them.<br />

Guided Walks & Tours<br />

The Syke Walk and Talk Group meet every Monday at 1.00 pm and Friday<br />

10.00am at Syke Methodist Chapel where there will be toilet facilities and<br />

hot drinks and socialising after the walks. There are 2 levels on the walk on<br />

Monday, a high quick walk and a slower one. There are also three levels on a<br />

Friday. A high fast walk, an intermediate walk and a slower one if needed.<br />

So there is something to suit everyone and all abilities.<br />

Creative With Nature<br />

Joevanka The next event held will be on Tuesday 11th <strong>Oct</strong>ober. Gregory<br />

works with willow to create not only baskets, but more complex sculptures.<br />

She will show us examples of her work, explaining the processes and<br />

techniques employed. In the Studio from 12/15-12.45pm where tea & coffee<br />

will be served. 12.45-1.45pm Speaker<br />

Springhill Hospice Events<br />

Sunday 20th November – Christmas Fair<br />

Enjoy a festively fun daywith over 40 stalls to visit and seasonal treats for<br />

everyone – it is not to be missed!! Free entry, 10am – 3pm. Springhill<br />

Hospice.<br />

Friday 25th November –Man of Rochdale<br />

Watch as the Man of Rochdale <strong>2016</strong> is crowned while helping him celebrate<br />

with a four course meal and beer reception. From 1pm at Rochdale Town<br />

Hall.<br />

Sunday 11th December – Santa Dash or Dawdle<br />

Join over 600 Santas on this 5km sponsored dash, dawdle, dog walk or pram<br />

push around Hollingworth Lake. Starts at 11am from the Visitors Centre.<br />

Norden Card Craft Club<br />

We are a friendly card making group which has flourished on the exchange of<br />

ideas. We meet Tuesday afternoons at the Unitarian Church on Clover Street<br />
