6.10.1 MAP_RESET service<br />

6.10.1.1 Definition<br />

This service is used by the HLR, after a restart, to indicate to a list of VLRs that a failure occurred.<br />

The MAP_RESET service is a non-confirmed service using the service primitives defined in table 6.10/1.<br />

The HLR Id List is a list of HLR Id. If the parameter is present in the indication, the VLR may base the<br />

retrieval of subscribers to be restored on their IMSI: the subscribers affected by the reset are those<br />

whose IMSI leading digits are equal to one of these numbers. If the parameter is absent, subscribers to be<br />

restored are those for which the OriginatingEntityNumber received at location updating time matches the<br />

equivalent parameter of the Reset Indication.
