User error<br />

This parameter is mandatory if the service fails. The following error cause defined in subclause 5.6.1 may<br />

be used, depending on the nature of the fault:<br />

- unidentified subscriber.<br />

Provider error<br />

6.1.5 MAP_DETACH_IMSI service<br />

6.1.5.1 Definition<br />

The MAP_DETACH_IMSI service is used by the MSC to indicate to the VLR that an MS is no longer<br />

reachable. The network needs this information e.g. to reject an incoming call without initiating paging on the<br />

radio path.<br />

The MAP_DETACH_IMSI service is a non-confirmed service using the service primitives defined in<br />

table 6.1/5.<br />
