h) Short message problem:<br />

- SM delivery failure with detailed reason as follows:<br />

- memory capacity exceeded;<br />

- MS protocol error;<br />

- MS not equipped;<br />

- unknown service centre (SC);<br />

- SC congestion;<br />

- invalid SME address;<br />

- subscriber is not an SC subscriber;<br />

- and possibly detailed diagnostic information, coded as specified in TS <strong>GSM</strong> 03.40,<br />

under SMS-SUBMIT-REPORT and SMS-DELIVERY-REPORT. If the SM entity which<br />

returns the SM Delivery Failure error includes detailed diagnostic information, it shall be<br />

forwarded in the MAP_FORWARD_SHORT_MESSAGE response.<br />

- message waiting list full, i.e. no further SC address can be added to the message waiting list;<br />

- Subscriber busy for MT SMS, i.e. the mobile terminated short message transfer cannot be<br />

completed because another mobile terminated short message transfer is going on.<br />

5.6.2 Numbering and identification parameter<br />

5.6.2.1 IMSI<br />

This parameter is the International Mobile Subscriber Identity defined in TS <strong>GSM</strong> 03.03.<br />

5.6.2.2 TMSI<br />

This parameter is the Temporary Mobile Subscriber Identity defined in TS <strong>GSM</strong> 03.03.<br />

5.6.2.3 IMEI<br />

This parameter is the International Mobile Equipment Identity defined in TS <strong>GSM</strong> 03.03.<br />

5.6.2.4 Previous location area Id<br />

This parameter refers to the identity of the location area from which the subscriber has roamed.<br />

5.6.2.5 Stored location area Id<br />

This parameter refers to the location area where the subscriber is assumed to be located.<br />

5.6.2.6 Current location area Id<br />

This parameter is used to indicate the location area in which the subscriber is currently located.<br />

5.6.2.7 Target location area Id<br />

This parameter refers to the location area into which the subscriber intends to roam.<br />

5.6.2.8 Target cell Id<br />

This parameter refers to the identity of the cell to which a call has to be handed over.<br />

5.6.2.9 [Spare]<br />

5.6.2.10 Originating entity number<br />

This parameter refers to an application layer identification of a system component in terms of its<br />

associated ISDN number.
