5.6.7 Authentication parameters<br />

5.6.7.1 Authentication set list<br />

This parameter represents a list of sets of authentication parameters for a given subscriber:<br />

- Rand;<br />

- Sres;<br />

- Kc.<br />

5.6.7.2 Rand<br />

This parameter represents a random number used for authentication.<br />

5.6.7.3 Sres<br />

This parameter represents the response to an authentication request.<br />

5.6.7.4 Kc<br />

This parameter refers to a key used for ciphering purposes.<br />

5.6.7.5 [Spare]<br />

5.6.7.6 Cksn<br />

This parameter refers to a ciphering key sequence number.<br />

5.6.7.7 Ciphering mode<br />

This parameter refers to the ciphering mode which is associated with a radio channel. It may take values<br />

as follows:<br />

- no encryption;<br />

- identification of specific ciphering algorithm.<br />

5.6.8 Short message parameters<br />

5.6.8.1 SM-RP-DA<br />

This parameter represents the destination address used by the short message service relay sub-layer<br />

protocol. It can be either of the following:<br />

- IMSI (see subclause 5.6.2.1);<br />

- LMSI (see subclause 5.6.2.16);<br />

- MS-ISDN (see subclause 5.6.2.17);<br />

- roaming number (see subclause 5.6.2.19);<br />

- service centre address (see subclause 5.6.2.27).<br />

5.6.8.2 SM-RP-OA<br />

This parameter refers to the originating address used by the short message service relay sub-layer<br />

protocol. It can be either of the following:<br />

- MS-ISDN (see subclause 5.6.2.17);<br />

- service centre address (see subclause 5.6.2.27).
