Quando começou a carreira artística?
Comecei muito cedo ainda em Brasília, minha cidade
natal. Mudei para São Paulo com a minha família,
que acreditou muito no meu sonho e me incentivou
bastante. Desde pequena sempre fui apaixonada por
música. Quando meu pai percebeu isso - ele me via no
quarto cantando com a escova de cabelo na mão - me
colocou para fazer aulas. Fiz canto, piano e comecei
a tocar violão. Meu pai sempre tocou violão, então
desde pequena tive a música muito presente. Hoje
arranho no violão e no piano, mas confesso que fiquei
meio preguiçosa com o tempo.
Como definiria seu estilo musical?
Defino como um pop romântico. A música romântica
sempre fez parte do meu repertório, sempre foi carro-
-chefe dos meus CDs. O novo disco está mais solar,
praiano, porque estou morando no Rio de Janeiro, o
que influenciou muito na composição das canções.
Seu disco novo é quase todo autoral. Gosta de compor?
Sempre compus, desde a época de São Paulo. Percebi
que a composição poderia ajudar no orçamento no
final do mês. Compus umas 200 músicas quando morava
lá e na maternidade fiz mais músicas também. O
CD novo foi meu encontro com Tiago Gimenes, era a
parceria que esperava.
Onde busca inspiração para compor?
São ações do cotidiano mesmo, do dia a dia. Histórias
minhas e outras que vejo acontecendo. O último
CD, por exemplo, tem uma música que fizemos meio
de brincadeira, chamada TPM, que está agradando
bastante. É um papo de mulher. Sempre quis cantar
o sentimento das mulheres porque quero que elas se
identifiquem com meu trabalho.
Chegou a fazer algumas participações em seriado
para televisão. Pensa em investir na carreira de atriz?
Nunca fui atriz. Às vezes as pessoas dizem que sou
cantora e atriz, não sei de onde tiram isso. Fiz uma
participação no seriado do Renato Aragão. Mas ele
sempre chama as pessoas da música. Para mim, foi a
realização de um sonho porque o Renato é meu herói
de infância, mas não pretendo seguir carreira, não sou
atriz e não serei.
Considera-se realizada profissionalmente? O que falta
ainda nesse sentido?
Fiz um balanço recentemente, estou com 31 anos e já
fiz muitas coisas. Tenho muito mais que agradecer do
When did you begin your artistic career?
I started very early, while still living in Brasilia, my hometown.
I moved to São Paulo with my family, who very
much believed in my dream and has encouraged me a
lot. Ever since I was little, I have always been fond of
music. When my father realized this - he saw me in my
bedroom singing with a hairbrush in my hand - he put
me in a school to take lessons. I sang and played the
piano and began to play the guitar. My father had always
played the guitar, so ever since I was little, music has
been present in my life. Today, I scratch on the guitar
and the piano, and I must confess that I have become
kind of lazy over time.
How would you define your style of music?
I define it as romantic pop. Romantic music has always
been part of my repertoire, it has always been the flagship
of my CDs. The new CD is sunnier, beach like,
because I’m living in Rio de Janeiro, which has very
much influenced me in the composition of the songs.
Your new album is almost completely composed by
yourself. Do you like to compose?
I am always composing, from the time I lived in São
Paulo. I realized that composition could help me with
my budget at the end of the month. I wrote some 200
songs when I lived there and even while in the maternity
ward I managed to do more songs. The new CD was
my encounter with Tiago Gimenes, a partnership that
has waited a long time.
Where do you look for inspiration in composing?
Daily activities, the day-to-day. My stories and other
things I see happening around me. The last CD, for
example, has a song that I made half-jokingly, called
TPM (PMS), which is pleasing enough. It’s girl talk. I’ve
always wanted to sing about women’s feelings because
I want them to identify with my work.
You have even made several TV appearances. Do you
ever think of investing in the career of an actress?
I have never been an actress. Sometimes, people say
I’m a singer and actress, I don’t know where they get it
from. I participated on the Renato Aragão show, once.
But he always calls on people to sing. For me, it was a
dream come true because Renato is my childhood hero,
but I have no intention of pursuing the career, I’m not
an actress and never will be.
Do you consider yourself realized professionally? What
is still missing in this sense?
I recently made a balance of my life, I am 31 and I’ve
