Esse CD que comemora 20 anos de carreira foi um
marco, um disco quase todo autoral com participação
do Brian Mcknight que também virou nosso parceiro
na composição. O sonho não acaba, a gente não pode
parar de sonhar, mas sou muito realizada. Vou estar
sempre cantando. Quero levar minha música, não só
para o Brasil, mas para outros países também.
Como é sua carreira internacional? Quer investir
mais nela?
Fiz uma turnê em Portugal, Angola, EUA (Estados Unidos
da América), mas tem todo um trabalho que é feito
com o tempo. O mercado latino me encanta muito.
Já gravei com o Juan Luis Guerra, que é o ícone da
música latina, e tenho projetos futuros para expandir
minha carreira fora do país.
Tem carinho especial por algum álbum ou hit?
Tenho por todos os trabalhos, acho que cada um é um
momento diferente do artista. Com o tempo a gente
vai mudando, a maturidade chega e a música vai se
transformando, mas tenho orgulho de todos. Mas estou
em um momento de paixão louca pelo meu novo CD.
Tem vontade de cantar com alguém?
Gravei com Alexandre Pires, que é um artista que
sempre quis trabalhar junto. Tenho paixão pela
Celine Dion, sei que é difícil, mas para Deus nada é
impossível.
Suas canções já foram várias vezes tema de novelas.
Acha que ajuda a dar mais visibilidade?
Com certeza, porque o cantor não tem só a música
tocando no rádio. Está também contando uma história
e a canção vira tema dela. Isso impulsiona bastante e
as pessoas se identificam mais. Facilita com certeza,
mas a música tem que combinar com o personagem.
Já tive alguns temas de novela que não emplacaram
por não ter a cara do personagem.

something in my work. This CD celebrates 20
years of my career, it was a milestone, a CD almost
completely composed by myself with the participation
of Brian McKnight, who also became our partner in its
composition. The dream hasn’t ended, we can’t stop
dreaming, but I feel very fulfilled. I will always sing. I
want to take my music, not only throughout Brazil, but
to other countries as well.
How is your international career? Do you want to
invest more in it?
I did a tour including Portugal, Angola, and the United
States, but it is a lot of work and takes time. The Latin
Market enchants me a lot. I have already recorded with
Juan Luis Guerra, who is a Latin music icon, and have
future projects to expand my career abroad.
Do you have a special love for any album or hit?
For all my work, I think each one is a different moment
in the life of an artist. Over time we change, maturity
sets in and the music transforms itself, but I’m proud of
all my work. But right now, I have a mad passion for
my new CD.
Is there someone with whom you would like to sing?
I recorded with Alexandre Pires, who is an artist with
whom I always wanted to work with. I have a passion
for Celine Dion, I know it’s hard, but for God, nothing
is impossible.
Several of yours songs have been the themes for soaps.
Do you feel that this helps give you more visibility?
Certainly, because a singer does not just have his music
playing on the radio. The soap is also telling a story and
the song becomes the story’s theme. This gives it an
impulse and people identify themselves with it more. It
makes it easier for sure, but the music has to match the
character. I’ve had a few themes for the soaps which
did not become hits by not having anything to do with
the character.
