Heidelberg Laureate Forum Foundation
The Heidelberg Laureate Forum (HLF) is organized
by the Heidelberg Laureate Forum Foundation
(HLFF), a non-profit foundation that was
established and is funded by the German foundation
Klaus Tschira Stiftung (KTS) in 2013. The
HLFF’s objective is to provide mathematicians
and computer scientists with a similar networking
meeting as the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings
(LNLM) have successfully been doing for
the disciplines of physics, chemistry, physiology
or medicine and economics for many decades.
Klaus Tschira Stiftung
In 1995, Klaus Tschira (1940–2015), physicist and
co-founder of the software company SAP, established
the Klaus Tschira Stiftung (KTS) in Germany
as a non-profit foundation. The Foundation
promotes the advancement of natural sciences,
mathematics and computer science and strives
to raise appreciation for these fields. The KTS
is one of Europe´s largest privately funded
non-profit foundations. The Foundation is jointly
managed by Beate Spiegel, Harald Tschira and
Udo Tschira.
