This urban center, nestled in 112 acres <strong>of</strong> oak-hickory forest, <strong>of</strong>fers <strong>Girl</strong> Scout loaner backpacks with materials<br />
for groups to earn badges while visiting. A “Discovery Table” associated with badge work is held once a month<br />
during the school year. Also featured are forest, fish and wildlife exhibits, including a 3,000 gallon aquarium.<br />

Discover how pets help people live healthier lives, visit the 28-foot-tall Victorian style cat house, or pet a variety<br />
<strong>of</strong> dogs on display. Learn how to teach dog tricks or romp in a real-life hayl<strong>of</strong>t. Picnics are not allowed and<br />

Rockwoods Reservation is a state forest and wildlife refuge located in western St. Louis County and managed<br />
by the Missouri Department <strong>of</strong> Conservation. Facilities include six nature trails ranging in length from 300 yards<br />
to 3-1/4 miles, picnic areas and an education center. The education center contains many exhibits on<br />
Missouri’s forest, fish and wildlife resources.<br />

A visit to the Aquacenter will let troops visit with Amazon and Mississippi animals at the touchpool and explore<br />
the aqua stations. Hands-on exhibits highlight native wildlife. Other attractions include the Intertidal Zone, the<br />
Fringing Reef, the Open Ocean, the Mississippi River Exposition, and a rainforest exhibit.<br />
<strong>Girl</strong> Scout Programs at World Aquarium: The World Aquarium has developed programs just for <strong>Girl</strong> <strong>Scouts</strong>!<br />
Programs include leader booklets with suggested activities to do with your troop before and after the visit to the<br />
World Aquarium to meet the requirements for specific recognitions.<br />
