Frank Holten State Park is an oasis for recreationalists and wildlife watchers. The 1,180-acre park features a<br />

championship 18-hole golf course and the Grand Marias Club House. There are also two fishing lakes,<br />

basketball and tennis courts, a soccer/football field, and baseball diamonds.<br />

Horseshoe Lake State Park <strong>of</strong>fers a wide variety <strong>of</strong> recreational opportunities on 2,960 acres. It also is an<br />

excellent place for bird watching. A four mile self-guided nature trail on Walker Island has 5 watch areas for<br />

birding at the different habitats that can be found on the island.<br />
