Preservation District. A model <strong>of</strong> architectural splendor, the home features authentic period furniture, much <strong>of</strong><br />
it original, arranged as if the family were living there. The museum hosts special exhibits throughout the year,<br />

The lone, operational LST (Landing Ship, Tank) in existence, LST 325 makes her home in Evansville.<br />
Essential to WWII maneuvers such as D-Day, LST 325 is 328 feet long and weighs 1,625 tons. The LST 325<br />
D-Day event features American and German WWII re-enactors.<br />

Howell Wetlands is managed by the Wesselman Nature Society and encompasses 23 acres. The most striking<br />
feature <strong>of</strong> this wetland area is that despite its location in the middle <strong>of</strong> a city, it impressively showcases a<br />
diversity <strong>of</strong> wetland habitats. These habitats include a marsh, a cypress slough, an oxbow channel, as well as<br />
the surrounding prairie and bottomland hardwood forest. Programs and hikes are hosted throughout the year<br />

The camp <strong>of</strong>fers 3,465 acres <strong>of</strong> pristine forest and ravines that are looped with hiking, biking and bridle trails.<br />
An educational nature center <strong>of</strong>fers seasonal programs throughout the year. A swimming pool, cabin and tent<br />
campgrounds, picnic shelters, boat ramp, and fishing areas round out the recreational opportunities.<br />
