The museum celebrates the history <strong>of</strong> Clabber <strong>Girl</strong> Baking Powder as one <strong>of</strong> the oldest brands in the country.<br />

The bake shop provides breakfast and lunch item, and the General Store has many unique items and<br />

souvenirs <strong>of</strong> the area. The facility recently began hosting cooking demonstrations and cooking classes.<br />

This 1840 era village features eight log homes, smoke house, barn, church/schoolhouse and gristmill. The<br />

oldest remaining covered bridge in Indiana, dating back to 1844, is also in this area<br />

The Native American Museum is dedicated to preserving the Woodland Native American culture, both<br />

prehistoric and historic. Bead works, points, axes, guns, clothing, regalia and knives are among some <strong>of</strong> the<br />

treasures to see. The museum schedules many make-it and take-it classes during the year.<br />

Dresser was a popular songwriter in the late 19 th century and shared his fame with his novelist brother,<br />

Theodore Dreiser, author <strong>of</strong> the classic “An American Tragedy.” The home is a stone’s throw from the river<br />

which Dresser immortalized -- a resting place for the home <strong>of</strong> a man who wrote Indiana’s State Song “On the<br />

Banks <strong>of</strong> the Wabash.”<br />
