Responsibility at Finavia A part of society Safety Staff wellbeing Environmental responsibility GRI Responsibility highlights 2016 Our focus was on the development of service competence and supervisory work. Our operations have considerably extensive financial impacts. In 2016, the Helsinki Airport development project had an employment impact of 1,566 person-years. The most important environmental investments were concerned with the reduction of the harm done to the aquatic environment as a result of deicing and anti-icing at Helsinki Airport. Our environmental investments totalled EUR 14.1 million. Our environmental management system was updated in accordance with the ISO 14001 standard. Helsinki Airport is making steady progress towards carbon neutrality: A new plan is guiding our targets and work. Job satisfaction among Finavia staff members improved considerably.
