The NSWMP goals are:<br />

The NSWMP together with its partners and stakeholders is<br />
working on transforming challenges into opportunities for<br />
<strong>Egypt</strong>’s solid waste sector. It is launched in response to solid<br />
waste challenges in <strong>Egypt</strong>, where only 60 per cent of solid<br />
waste is actually collected, less than 20 per cent is recycled<br />
or properly disposed of.<br />

Second Round of “Planning for Integrated Waste<br />
Management“ Training (NSWMP), 11-12 May<br />
2016<br />
On 15 th of March 2016, the NSWMP in<br />
collaboration with the Recycling and Economic<br />
Development Initiative of South Africa (REDISA)<br />
organized a one-day workshop in Cairo on<br />
Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for<br />
waste tyres. The workshop was attended by<br />
industry representatives, government entities,<br />
recyclers and cement companies.<br />
