Do you think the customer
today is very different?
Our customers
are always looking for
distinguished quality, unique design, and excellent after-sale
services, and this remains constant with all generations of
our clientele whether old or new. As a younger generation is
getting more infatuated and educated with the latest watches
and jewellery trends, they seek more fashion forward designs
that are fun to wear on a daily basis. In this case, it is necessary
for us to bring in more of these brands that represent the new
generation.
Tell us about your involvement and experience with Jewellery
Arabia.
Since the beginning of Jewellery Arabia in 1992, BJC
has been a regular participator, and with over 40 prominent
jewellery and watch brands we can proudly claim that Bahrain
Jewellery Centre is now the biggest exhibitor at Jewellery
Arabia. Our stall covers an area of over 2500 square meters and
is located distinguishably in Hall A of the Bahrain International
Exhibition and Convention Centre. We always make sure that
our stall has a friendly and
warm vibe that allows our
clientele to have a smooth
and pleasant experience.
Do you think events like
this have helped Bahrain’s
economy?
Events like Jewellery
Arabia definitely put
Bahrain on the map as
it’s one of the world’s biggest jewellery fairs. It attracts many
visitors and exhibitors from around the world. During this
period Bahrain’s hotels are occupied, the restaurants are busy,
and a lot of events are going on around Bahrain. It’s quite a
festive and exciting season for Bahrain, similar to the Formula
One period.
What’s next for BJC? Any new showrooms or new
announcements in the pipeline?
BJC has just opened its doors to the newly renovated
and expanded stand-alone Patek Philippe boutique in the
Moda Mall. The highly anticipated opening attracted over
300 guests who celebrated with the president of Patek
Philippe, Mr. Thierry Stern. This successful opening is
unprecedented in Bahrain, and in the region for that matter.
Great accomplishments like these give us the drive we need to
continue our BJC mission journey in continuously progressing
and expanding.
