USE SYNTHETIC PILLOWS
When sleeping, instead of using a pillow
made of natural materials or feathers,
you should use a synthetic pillow. Dust
mites enter these pillows least compared
to the other materials. It is still necessary
to launder them to keep allergens and dust
at bay, but they are still quite superior.
MAKE YOUR LAUNDRY
FRESH SMELLING
For laundry that smells fresh, choose a
laundry detergent with a light, fresh scent
or add a fresh-smelling fabric softener.
Letting your clothes dry outside will make
them smell sun-kissed. But, you are also
allowing spores and pollen to get on your
clothing. Consider using a natural laundry
detergent for a fresh scent instead, but
make sure the detergent doesn’t contain
ingredients that you are allergic to.
SKIP HAIR STYLING PRODUCTS
When allergy season is at its height,
avoid using creams, gels and sprays to create
your hairdos. When you are outside all
the time there are a lot of particles that
you can pick up and bring home. While
they are wonderful for creating a lovely
‘do, these products may also increase the
amount of pollen and allergens that become
trapped in your hair.
