SOAK IN WARM WATER
Try sitting in warm bath water with
your knees raised. Soaking the affected
area in warm water will help ease the pain
and reduce the inflammation. Warm water
helps blood flow to irritated areas quickly,
and helps reduce swelling and pain. Do
this as often as necessary and you will feel
better in no time.
SCRATCHING IS ALWAYS A NO-NO
Always refrain from scratching hemorrhoids,
much as you would with any other
type of infection. It is important not to
scratch, however, because you could open
up a wound. If they are ripped open they are
going to cause you far more pain, and open
your body to getting bacterial infections.
AVOID LIFTING HEAVY OBJECTS
Oddly enough, lifting heavy objects
can be a risk factor for hemorrhoids. Lifting
heavy items puts your body under similar
stress to the stress of trying to have a
bowel movement when your stool is too
hard. If you regularly lift heavy objects and
have recurring hemorrhoids, find ways to
avoid doing this lifting.
