FIND THE RIGHT DENTIST
If you are anxious about seeing the
dentist, do some research on the dentists
in your local area. Check out online reviews
and ask for opinions from your family
and friends. Aim to find a dentist who
is very friendly with their patients. Finding
the right dentist can really make a world
of difference as to how comfortable you
will feel while having work performed.
2
BRUSH YOUR TEETH PROPERLY
Take your time when brushing.
Brushing is probably a regular
routine for you, but a lot of people hurry
to get it done. Don’t do this. Slow
down when you brush your teeth.
Brush your teeth for at least two minutes
twice daily. Take your time with each tooth.
Start brushing at the gum line then move
up to the tooth’s top. Brushing too hard
can damage gums and teeth, so be careful
to apply a gentle touch. Switch to a softer
brush if you notice gum pain from brushing.
The way you handle a toothbrush also
makes a difference. To properly brush your
teeth, hold your toothbrush on your teeth
at a slight angle. You should then brush
in circular strokes. Be careful not to brush
too hard to avoid irritating your gums.
3
FIND A TOOTHPASTE
THAT SUITS YOU
If neither you nor your kid like mint, don’t
avoid brushing your teeth! There are many
kinds of flavored toothpaste out there besides
just mint. If regular commercially
available toothpastes don’t suit you, check
