TALK TO THOSE AROUND YOU<br />

If you are under a lot of stress, and<br />

it is affecting your mood, take the time<br />

to let those around you know that it isn’t<br />

their fault. Often family members, especially<br />

children, can feel like it is something<br />

they have done that has upset you. While<br />

it is wise to seek a sympathetic ear when<br />

you are stressed, don’t make those close<br />

to you suffer from your angst.<br />

Having a conversation with a good<br />

friend is a wonderful way to reduce stress.<br />

By releasing pent-up fears and thoughts,<br />

you are sure to gain a sense of relief. Arrange<br />

to get together with a family member<br />

or friend, or make a telephone call to one.<br />

PURSUE A HOBBY<br />

Some hobbies and interests, such as<br />

video or word games, can provide a relaxing<br />

outlet for stress, but if they begin to<br />

cause you frustration, you should try something<br />

else. The idea of a hobby is to clear<br />

your mind while helping you feel calm. You<br />

do not want to replace being stressed with<br />

being frustrated.<br />
