L’art de la sculpture peut
revêtir plusieurs formes
et la voie choisie par
Randrianarivelo Haja,
installé dans son atelier
de Behoririka, est celle de
l’univers marin. Gouvernails,
encres, petits matelots, les
sujets sont divers mais la
matière est unique, du beau
bois massif qu’il travaille de
ses mains.
Inutile de chercher deux œuvres identiques,
le propre de la création est dans la non
reproduction de l’œuvre d’art. Les formes
qui naissent des grands morceaux de
palissandre ou d’autres essences, sont
uniques, imaginée, dessinées et réalisées
par le sculpteur. Le temps consacré
à chacune de ces œuvres étant lui
impossible à quantifier.
Homme passionné, issu d’une famille
d’artiste, Randrianarivelo Haja a suivi
une formation de sculpteur avant de se
perfectionner, par une pratique quotidienne
depuis 25 ans. Un métier qui voit chaque
journée différer de celle de la veille. Une
pure passion.
