DAY 2<br />
National Museum<br />
Apart from housing the primate and fossil hall,<br />
hall of prehistory, hall of early history, Myanmar<br />
history hall, Myanmar arts hall and Myanmar<br />
performing arts hall, the museum also has a<br />
mini theatre, a VIP area, a public rest area and<br />
an exhibition hall for the state-level gifts the<br />
country's President has received. The museum<br />
which began construction around 2010 was<br />
developed to be a museum worthy of the<br />
national status highlighting the cultural<br />
heritage and the soft power of Myanmar with<br />
elegance. It is open between 9:30am and<br />
4:30pm every day except on Monday and<br />
government holidays.<br />
Ngalaik Lake Gardens<br />
Primarily a water park along the Ngalaik dam,<br />
activities that you could do here include taking<br />
a relaxing dip or swim at the beach, speeding<br />
down various water slides in the park, visiting<br />
a few natural resorts and spending a night in<br />
one of the lodges, enjoying a water balloon<br />
or water gun fight, going for a walk or a jog<br />
and participating in the festivities of the<br />
Thingyan water festival when it takes place<br />
mid-April each year.<br />

Myoma Market<br />
A local market filled with traders, suppliers<br />
and tourists, it gets busy real quick in here. It<br />
is also easy to get lost as the market is quite<br />
the maze with plenty of packed sections and<br />
stalls selling just about everything under the<br />
sun. This includes hardware, clothing, jewellery,<br />
electrical appliances, books, plumbing<br />
materials, tailoring services and sewing<br />
machines, flowers, food and imported goods.<br />
