Blocked drain alert delay Within the machine is a diaphragm pressure sensor, this measures the air pressure inside the chamber when the machine is in cycle. Should a blockage occur within the drain pipe the water level inside the machine will increase compressing the air inside the machine and activating the blockage (positive) pressure sensor. Once activated the machine will stop all activity and wait for the blockage to clear, if the blockage does not clear an F1 alert will be appear on the display. Once the blockage sensor has been activated the machine will look at the sensor at 10 second intervals, if it is no longer active = no high pressure in the chamber; the machine will restart and complete the cycle. This parameter determines how many times the machines look at the sensor (every 10 seconds) and therefore how long it will wait for the pressure/blockage to clear before creating an alert message on the display. The F1 alert will only be displayed at the end of the time set in this parameter. This process is designed to provide surface disinfection at the end of the cycle. The Uno chemical pump delivers more fluid per second hence the different settings. The settings indicated provide the optimum delivery of chemical to the flow rate of water; do not reduce below these settings. Increasing the time setting will consume a greater level of chemical; this will not necessarily increase the level of disinfection. The settings described above relate to the sanitising properties and chemical composition of Ecocleanse+, DDC do not recommend the use of any other chemical in our products. Pre-cut soak time, seconds At the start of each cycle the water pump operates before the cutting motor starts. This parameter determines the duration of the water pump before the start of the cutting cycle. Note the water pump operates throughout the cutting cycle regardless of this parameter. Most of the water used at the start of the cycle runs through the machine into the drain; this function permits a pre-flush of the drain prior to the main cycle. The minimum setting should be appropriate for most applications. Sites with poor, troublesome or complex drain networks would benefit more by extending the cycle time (Additional cut time), this will enable more water to enter the drain behind the macerated waste and help flush the slurry through to the sewer. Additional cut time - seconds This parameter is used to extend or reduce the standard cycle time. The base time of the cycle (V23- current) is 100 seconds, using this parameter we add 20 seconds; creating a cycle time of 120 seconds (standard Ultima cycle). The additional 20 seconds set in this parameter can be set to zero, this would create a cycle time similar to an Eco. Options for this parameter: This feature could enable the machine to be set with a 100 second cycle time to reduce water and electrical consumption. This feature would work well if the auto-start option is enabled. Additional cycle time can be added to the 120 second cycle. This facility is useful if the machine is frequently not clearing the load first cycle or the drain network is complex. Large quantities of soft material like wipes and paper towel may require more processing (cycle) time. This facility is also beneficial in situations where the nursing staff use large quantities SAP (fluid absorbing granule packs).
