WHILE we love the bold, dramatic hues which have<br />
burst onto the interior design scene this season,<br />
nothing brings a calm, light vibe to a room quite like<br />
pretty gelato-inspired pastel hues.<br />
And much like choosing your favourite flavour of ice<br />
cream, it’s hard to pick a favourite sweet shade, so<br />
why only choose one when you can have them all, in a<br />
perfect palette of ice cream colours? From lemon and<br />
mint to peach and raspberry, it’s a mouth-watering<br />
selection which works perfectly together to create<br />
deliciously designed decor.<br />
For a fresh feel, opt for white walls and inject colour<br />
with pastel accents - think not only soft furnishings and<br />
accessories, but hunt out larger furniture pieces in soft<br />
sorbet shades. A sofa in dreamy blush pink or a chest<br />
of drawers in soft pistachio will create a focal point,<br />
particularly when adorned in contrasting pastel pieces<br />
such as cushions, throws, lamps and photo frames.<br />
Pastels can also be a beautiful foil to classic neutrals,<br />
working particularly well with the industrial grey tones<br />
which have dominated our homes in recent years.<br />
