THE SHOWING REGISTER (TSR)
Who is TSR? Gail & Sarah
Chapman formed TSR in 2013.
Both Gail & Sarah have been
involved in Showing all their
lives. Sarah started competing at the age of 3
years in lead rein and progressed through the
classes. Her passion is the Ridden Hunters
but she has broken & produced all types
throughout her career culminating in wins at
RIHS & HOYS. She is currently a panel judge
for BSHA, Sport Horse (GB), BSPS, CHAPS,
SSADL plus TSR. She has judged at many
shows of all levels including twice at RIHS &
HOYS.
WHY DID YOU START TSR?
Sarah is passionate about training and has
been lucky enough to be trained by such
showing greats as Davina Whiteman, Nigel
Hollings and Robert Oliver. She felt that
there should be an opportunity in showing
for Amateur riders to be part of a program
that was based on training and improving
not just about results in the ring. Gail was
concerned at the increasing costs of showing
membership and wanted to provide an
affordable option for exhibitors. So TSR was
formed to achieve these goals.
WHAT DOES TSR DO?
TSR is all about supporting riders to
achieve their showing ambitions in a fun
and affordable way. From starting out at a
Showing Clinic to providing opportunities
to compete at the TSR Spring & Summer
Shows, the eight TSR Showing Finals and
the TSR/HOYS Showing Master Class plus
through a £24 TSR Membership riders are
eligible to compete in HOYS qualifiers.
Who is TSR for? TSR embraces all types of
Horses & ponies and levels of competitor
from just starting out in showing at an
unaffiliated show to riders trying HOYS
qualifiers. Sarah says “We want to provide
opportunities for all, In Hand & Ridden, no
matter what level of showing. I like to think
that we provide a friendly and welcoming
service to assist people to achieve their
ambitions within their level of showing,”
SHOWING CLINICS
With over 25 clinics held across the country
there is one near you. Organised between
Jan & May by Sarah she says “I have been
showing & judging for over 20 years, I really
enjoy passing on my experience to riders
in a friendly, non-judgemental, no pressure
environment. My main aim is for everyone to
have an enjoyable and positive time, gaining
that all important confidence and finding out
something new that will help them achieve
their goals”
