hurricane season. As always,<br />

preparedness is essential for the safety and the well-being of you and<br />

your family. Whether you are building an emergency kit or mapping an<br />

evacuation route, my office has assembled the below resources that are<br />

useful as you craft your own hurricane preparedness plan.<br />

The Florida Division of Emergency Management offers a comprehensive<br />

guide to hurricane preparedness, including how to strengthen your<br />

home, create a family plan, and even protect your important financial<br />

records.<br />

The Department of Homeland Security offers useful checklists that will<br />

help you create a communications plan and assemble an emergency<br />

kit before a hurricane.<br />
