Many of the photographs
in this exhibition have
never been seen publicly.
he late King Bhumibol Adulyadej
was often seen with a camera
in hand, but did you wonder
what kind of photos He took? We did,
until we had a chance to admire His
photographs in the latest exhibition held
at Bangkok Art and Cultural Centre.
Parts of the 200 photographs displayed
in ‘Through the Lens of His Majesty
King Bhumibol Adulyadej’ exhibition
have never been seen publicly before.
Curated by Nitikorn Kraivixien
of the Royal Photographic Society
Under the Royal Patronage of His
Majesty the King, this exhibition
is divided into three sections. The
first part displays black and white
photographs taken at the beginning of
the reign, featuring Her Majesty Queen
Sirikit, the prince and princesses from
early days. The second part focuses
on the late King’s journeys to distant
areas of Thailand to oversee the
Royal Projects, while the third part
features photographs taken during the
latter years at Klai Kangwon Palace.
This includes the landscapes and
surroundings and a large collection of
His royal dogs.
‘Through the Lens of His
Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’
exhibition is on view until 7 January 2018.
