The Triple Threat Basketball Summer Boot Camp has<br />

five-day a week camps, starting <strong>June</strong> 11 to 15 at the Coral<br />

Springs Gymnasium, then continuing <strong>June</strong> 18 through<br />

August 10 at Coral Springs Middle School.<br />

The Kreul Basketball Camps have<br />

hosted one of the country’s premier<br />

high school basketball tournaments,<br />

for 28 years and counting.<br />

Players of all ability levels develop<br />

confidence in their skills, target<br />

areas for improvement and gain a<br />

greater appreciation for the game.<br />

Ballplayers, ages 5 to 16, can<br />

join the Summer Kreul Basketball<br />

Camp, Aug. 6 to10, at the Coral<br />

Springs Gymnasium. For additional<br />

The City of Parkland Summer Camp takes<br />

place for elementary and middle school age<br />

children, from <strong>June</strong> 18 to Aug. 3, at Heron<br />

Heights Elementary School and Westglades<br />

Middle School. At Heron Heights, students<br />

must be 5 years old at the start of Kids Camp,<br />

which runs from 7:30am to 5:30pm for grades<br />

K-5.<br />

Travel Camp is from 8am to 5pm for grades 6<br />

The Simply Soccer Summer Camp<br />

gives full-day participants a free T-shirt,<br />

certificates, and written evaluation of their<br />

performance for the week. Campers<br />

must bring a soccer ball, swimsuit,<br />

shin guards, water bottle, and lunch.<br />

Camp Director Gary Curreri has a USSF<br />

National License, a USSF National Youth<br />

License, and is a Florida Youth Soccer<br />

Association State Staff Coach. Children,<br />

ages 5 to 15, can attend nine different<br />

camp sessions, beginning the week of<br />

<strong>June</strong> 11 and ending Aug. 10, at Mullins<br />

Park.<br />

“The best part is seeing the kids having a<br />

good time,” Engle said. “You see different<br />

things from different children. Some love the<br />

trips, some love playing dodge ball. All kids<br />

find their niche in their own way. We try to<br />

find as much diversity as we can, so there<br />

is something for everyone. Throughout it all,<br />

there are always adults keeping an eye on<br />

them. We always have plenty of space. We<br />

never turn people away.”<br />

Dance. Eat. Sleep. Repeat. That’s all part of<br />

the fun in 5678 Dance Camp this summer. The<br />

City of Parkland Performing Arts Dance Camp<br />

features classes in Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop,<br />

Cheer, Acro, Lyrical, and Musical Theater. The<br />

5678 Dance Camp, for children ages 5 to 13,<br />

runs from <strong>June</strong> 11 to Aug. 10. Sign up for the<br />

whole summer and pizza and ice cream are<br />
