BEREAN BAPTIST ACADEMY
Psalm 92:13 says, “Those that be planted
in the house of the Lord shall flourish in
the courts of our God.” Flourishing is exactly
what Berean Baptist Academy has done since it
was founded in 1975. Starting with just thirtyeight
students, the school’s enrollment has
grown to over 400 students. To accommodate
that expanding number of students, Berean
Baptist Academy has swelled from limited
facilities to two campuses. Berean was founded
with a vision to teach and train Christian girls
and boys to become responsible, godly young
ladies and gentlemen who would impact the
world for the cause of Jesus Christ.
Located at 518 Glensford Drive, off Cliffdale
Road, across from its parent church Berean
Baptist Church, the Academy is a Christian
school designed to assist parents with their
responsibility to raise their children in “the
nurture and admonition of the Lord.” This is
accomplished by providing a disciplined,
structured environment with a strong academic
program for children from preschool
through twelfth grade. The school offers
Spanish I and II with a proficient Spanishspeaking
instructor, a fantastic fine arts
department that produces various concerts
and drama productions throughout each
school year, AP and honors courses, online
CLEP classes and the opportunity for juniors
or seniors to attend FTCC for college courses.
The overwhelming majority of students take
the SATs and traditionally score well above
the national average. Our students produce a
quality yearbook in an elective course. The
school has well over 400 students in grades
K3 through twelfth grade.
God has blessed the school ministry with a
main school building that houses a computer
lab, an art room, an elementary media lab and
a 10,000 square foot gym that was remodeled
in 2000. The state-of-the-art preschool building
opened in 2007 and accommodates K3
and K4 students with its own secure playground
area. Academy students also utilize a
large elementary playground, a soccer and
baseball field and a music/drama modular
building. The entire high school campus is
Wi-Fi connected and classes use “smartboard”
technology in all of these classrooms.
The school offers middle school soccer and
basketball; JV soccer and basketball; and varsity
cross country, soccer, basketball and baseball
for boys. Berean offers JV volleyball, basketball
and cheerleading; and varsity cross country,
volleyball, cheerleading and soccer for girls.
