Nathan’s Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc.
is similar to many All-American success stories
that have humble beginnings. The business
started from a home garage, before moving to
a second location on Tolar Street and expanding
and moving to its new and third location
on Camden Road. The staff has grown from
two employees to eighteen. The company has
been based in Fayetteville during the duration
of its fourteen year lifespan.
Offering free health insurance, vacation
pay, a retirement plan and seven days of
holiday pay to their employees. Nathan’s
Heating & Air Conditioning is family-owned
by Nathan H. Hall, Jr., and his wife, Hazel.
The Halls’ son and daughter in law, Nathan
“Stephen” and Michele also work in the
family business. Stephen is general manager
for service, installs and marketing. While
Michele manages the office to include, but
not limited to, payroll, scheduling, marketing
and bookkeeping.
“We are confident that if you ask any
employee, past or present, how they enjoyed
working for Nathan’s, the answer will always
be good,” Hall said.
“Several employees have been employed
with Nathan’s since our company started,”
Hall said. “We are a family-owned business
and understand the needs of employees, as
well as our customers.”
Much of the business’ advertisement is
by word of mouth and their website,
www.nathansheatandair.com. Nathan’s offers
technical service, system installations
and a preventative maintenance contract.
“We service all makes and models
on central heating and air conditioning
units and install, but are not limited to,
Ruud brand equipment from our local
supplier,” Hall said. “Purchasing units
and parts locally helps to meet supply
and demand.”
Products that are purchased locally
include gas package, gas furnace,
split and package heat pumps, oil
furnace and duct work. Preventative
maintenance is scheduled in the spring
and fall.
“Maintenance is critical in ensuring
the customer’s equipment is running
properly before the peak of the season,” Hall
said. “No one wants to do without the comforts
of air-conditioning or heat.”
The office is open Monday through Friday
from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and a service technician
is on-call Saturday and Sunday.
Nathan’s will not try to sell equipment or
services to our customers when not needed.
“Honesty and dependability are important
to us,” Hall said.
