Lyn Degear opened Carolina Car Mart in
1992 and has been in business on Yadkin
Road since 2001. Being close to Fort Bragg
has benefited his business.
“I’m a retired chief warrant officer who
has remained close to the military,” Degear
said. “They make about seventy percent of
the sales.”
Military specials are featured at Carolina
Car Mart year round.
The business has grown from a one man
operation to a five to six member staff.
“I’ve had plenty of satisfied customers who
have come back to purchase their second or
third vehicle,” Degear said. “We have helped
many customers who were credit challenged
to obtain financing to restore their credit.
We have also helped many get refinanced at
a lower rate once they established a pattern
of payments.
Carolina Car Mart offers used to almost
brand new vehicles in all makes with a price
range of $8,000 to $22,000 and interest rates
as low as four percent, depending upon the
individual’s credit.
“I’m always on the hunt for better deals on
cars and interest rates for all the customers,”
Degear said. “We have sold thousands of
vehicles over the years.”

and we’re a Better Business Bureau
member. We build relationships for the long
haul, not just a sale.”
