Fantasy Lake Water Park is located in
Hope Mills and is the area’s most exciting
water hole. It has a six-acre man-made lake
with a white sand bottom and is surrounded
by white sand beaches. The water park
features tarzan swings, numerous slides for
all ages, pedal boats, a jump tower, porch
swings, a diving board, water volleyball, island
docks and wide open water to enjoy a swim.
Fantasy Land for Kids offers plenty of swimming
options for kids ages three to eleven.

The All-American Fencing Academy teaches
the sport of fencing at its location in downtown
Fayetteville. Students from the academy
have qualified for national championships
and Junior Olympics and have been recruited
by and competed for NCAA Division I
programs. The staff at the academy has
international tournament experience. The All-
American Fencing Academy offers classes for
age seven up to adults and regular memberships.
Tournaments, camps and Fourth Friday
walk-in classes are also held at the academy.
P U T T - P U T T
The Putt-Putt brand of miniature golf
started in Fayetteville in 1954 and has made
a return to the area at its location on Camden
Road in Hope Mills. Don Clayton was the
inventor of the Putt-Putt brand and his
game became popular worldwide at a time
when indoor movies where not the usual
weekend activity. With its first professional
tournament in 1959, and international
locations opening in the 1960s, Putt-Putt
became a household word. The business grew
in the 1980s with the addition of indoor
video games to facilities. At one time, there
was over 265 locations in the U.S. The
company now has a new CEO in David
Callahan and has rebranded with a new
concept. Today, the Putt-Putt Fun Center in
Hope Mills draws large crowds to its
Putt-Putt courses, Race Zone go-kart track,
Spin Zone Bumper Cars, Bat Zone, Game Zone,
Wet Zone and Snack Shack.
G O L F
The Fayetteville-Cumberland County
community is blessed with around twenty
golf courses and nineteen miles of beautiful
fairways. The Sandhills is the perfect place
to enjoy eighteen holes of competitive golf
action. Some courses in the area have
been designed by Davis Love III, Willard
Byrd, and Stuart Gooden. Golf is a tourism
draw in the community and on any given day,
with good weather, golf courses and driving
ranges in Fayetteville and Cumberland
County are crowded.
