"I have metal door with security code, Maia adores the cute<br />

little key to the cute little door of her cute little apartment, and so now,<br />

we pay big time, yes?" He pounded in the last nail, and scooped up all<br />

the bent ones and his tools. Maia picked invisible lint off her coat.<br />

"You are not bringing all that with you, a change of clothes<br />

only, toothbrush, nightshirt, in the small bag. Get real, pussycat," He<br />

said from his doorway.<br />

"<strong>Her</strong>e, I'll help you. I'm a wiz at packing light." Penny dumped<br />

the two bags and packed it all into the smaller bag. Maia threw back in<br />

a few things from the pile. Alessandro's head was flopped to the side.<br />

Penny slapped his hand.<br />

Max came back in as the inter<strong>com</strong> trilled. "Okay, are we ready?<br />

Sandro, how are you for walking?"<br />

Maia answered the inter<strong>com</strong> and buzzed in Mario, Signora<br />

Tivoglio's driver. The wiry little man came in jabbering hysterical Italian<br />

and heaved Alessandro into the elevator. Maia, with the makeup case,<br />

and Penny with her knapsack, took the stairs. Max followed two<br />

seconds later dragging his, Cyber Ciné's, and Maia's suitcase.<br />
