The River Room offers outstanding food<br />

Thames and the old courthouse. Jess<br />

Jazey-Spoelstra’s sophisticated design<br />

sensibility is reflected in the cuisine as<br />

well as the stylish and relaxed interior.<br />

The ambience is warm and friendly,<br />

with glass, leather and linen textural<br />

elements. The dining room features an<br />

attractive curved bar at the entrance.<br />

Beautiful photos pay homage to the<br />

owners’ days in New York City.<br />

Menu Highlights<br />

At lunch, Chef’s features include a Pastrami Reuben sandwich — essential New<br />

York deli — with Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, Russian dressing and crispy dills. East<br />

Coast Lobster Roll with celery, scallion, mayo and topsider bun quickly became<br />

a signature dish. House Cured Smoked Salmon with two potato latkes, crème<br />

fraîche and fried capers is a classic, or try the Warm Goat Cheese & Caramelized<br />

Onion Tart with seasonal greens. The Vegan Buddah Bowl includes rice noodles,<br />

Thai peanut sauce, pickled vegetables, sesame, cucumbers,and avocado.<br />

Both locations take dessert offerings to a whole new level. Decadent<br />

Chocolate Cake with fudge frosting and Carrot Cake with cream cheese<br />

icing are beautifully executed. Try the River Room’s signature Vanilla Bean<br />

Crème Brûlée and the Rhino’s Brookies<br />

(brownie meets cookie). Cronut Thursdays<br />

draws devotees to the Rhino for the latest<br />

interpretation of this croissant-donut<br />

delicacy. Also recommended are the Rhino’s<br />

vegan offerings, including Mac ’n Cheese,<br />

Sausage Rolls, Cheesecake and Dutchies.<br />

The River Room has over a dozen<br />

dishes on the Brunch prix fixe menu ($27),<br />

including a classic Cobb Salad with grilled<br />

chicken, bacon, blue cheese, hard-boiled<br />

egg and chopped tomato & cucumbers.<br />

Their bestselling Eggs River Room with mini<br />

Maryland crab cakes and poached eggs on<br />

East Coast Lobster Roll<br />

toasted brioche is served with Hollandaise<br />
