Understanding the planning application process in Guernsey has been pivotal in<br />
JGA’s 98% first-time success rate for planning applications in 2018.<br />
During an initial FREE on-site consultation, we aim to<br />
fully understand your project requirements and the site<br />
conditions in order to provide an assessment against<br />
the relevant Planning Policies of the Island Development<br />
Plan. This consultation allows us opportunity to provide<br />
you with ideas and appropriate advice to progress your<br />
proposals.<br />
Producing clear drawings and detailed project<br />
information to illustrate your proposals will provide<br />
the Planning Department with information required<br />
to determine an application first time. This allows the<br />
project to move forward with certainty, minimising<br />
the need for any later drawing revisions. We work<br />
collaboratively with our team of specialist consultants to<br />
form clear workable solutions for Planning and Building<br />
Control. Our team focus on detailed design thought at<br />
an early stage that includes structural design, material<br />
selection and fabrication options – each of these<br />
elements is vital in ensuring your budget is realised<br />
and the project is successfully delivered through the<br />
construction phase.<br />
A recent client came to JGA after being unable to gain<br />
planning permission for a site with masses of potential.<br />
The owners had tried design options for the site but<br />
had become frustrated with the process. JGA met with<br />
the client to fully understand the brief and implement a<br />
precise design approach to take the project forward. JGA<br />
understood the appropriate policies and requirements<br />
of the Island Development Plan in relation to the project<br />
site which sped up the process for the client, saved<br />
