THE IMPORTANCE
OF BRANDING
BY SIMON TORODE, FOUNDER, CEO, LIVINGROOM ESTATE AGENTS
As a business with globally recognised, award-winning marketing the team at Livingroom Property understand
the importance of branding as a means of representing a company. Brand is so much more than a logo;
it’s a signifier for what a business’ identity is and how people relate to it and recognise it as distinct from its
competitors. So, what does the Livingroom brand represent?
There are three main strands to the Livingroom brand and what the agency has worked hard to make it
represent: trust, loyalty and progress. The brand signifies these things but they’re informed by our collective
150 years’ experience in the property sector and applying that knowledge to what we want Livingroom to be.
TRUST
You’d think it would go without
saying but trust is one of the
factors most regularly overlooked
in the business world. It’s so
important for customers to trust
brands and know what that brand
is going to deliver for them. There
are countless examples of trust
being completely eroded by
complacent brands that take their
customers for granted.
That’s why we’ve always strived
to offer exceptional client service
as standard and keep our vendors,
buyers, tenants and landlords
informed at every step of the way.
Our clients know they can trust
us to do our best for them and to
deliver a service that is tailored to
their needs – whether that means
only showing them relevant
properties in our email updates or
keeping their data safe via one of
our innovative online platforms.
LOYALTY
Loyalty is a two-way street
and often stems from having
a trusting relationship. Clients
will remain loyal to your brand if
they trust it and can identify with
it. Equally, it’s important to stay
loyal to your clients; you should
always try and look after your
existing clients while chasing
new ones as those who’ve used
your business many times can be
among your greatest advocates.
Loyalty is also bred through
shared values. Many of our clients
recognise what we stand for and
that resonates with them. Our
dedication to design, our pledge
to always keep clients informed
and our belief that the properties
we sell should be marketed
in their best light on the most
appropriate channels has won us
loyal clients in the past and will
continue to do so in the future.
PROGRESS
Of course, brand recognition
is something that grows over
time but that doesn’t mean you
shouldn’t renew your brand
when the occasion demands
it. Livingroom has always been
innovative and representative
of progress in the property
sector; this approach extends
to our brand and we’ve recently
undergone a redesign to ensure
we’re still standing for the
values we want to represent
and that our clients continue
to relate to our brand.
A BRAND NEW WEBSITE
All of the things that our brand stands for have been incorporated
into a redesign of our company website, which is in itself a visible
demonstration of our branding.
Our new state-of-the-art website was built with the user in mind and
with great design at its heart. It embodies the trust our clients have
placed in us to present their properties to their best advantage by making
imagery central to each property listing, it enhances features such as our
Transparent Vendor Management (TVM) platform that have won us loyal
clients in the past and it represents the progress Livingroom has made in
the Guernsey market and with our Jersey expansion.
We’ve always tried to push boundaries with our online presence and
are proud that we’ve been able to build such a recognisable brand
underpinned by genuine corporate values. The new website is the latest
extension of our brand and we hope you enjoy using it.
