Intertrust in Guernsey has appointed a new<br />

Managing Director with more than 20 years’<br />

experience in the global fiduciary and corporate<br />

industry. Marie McNeela was previously Head of<br />

Corporate Client Services at Intertrust in Guernsey<br />

and brings strong managerial and commercial skills<br />

to her new role.<br />

Guernsey-based independent trust company Trust<br />

Corporation International has appointed Mort<br />

Mirghavameddin as its Chief Executive.<br />

He has gathered a wealth of relevant experience during<br />

his lengthy career in the financial services sector<br />

and brings significant leadership pedigree to Trust<br />

Corporation International.<br />

Mort will be responsible for shaping and implementing<br />

the long-term strategy of a business that has gone from<br />

strength to strength during its 15-year history to ensure<br />

continued business growth in an ever-evolving marketplace.<br />

'As an independent business that prides itself on<br />

the quality of its practitioners, our aim was to hire<br />

someone who could shape and lead our business<br />

as it stands and into the future; as a dynamic,<br />

driven and visionary individual, Mort undoubtedly<br />

fits that bill,' said Ken Bradley, Non-Executive<br />

NEW DIRECTORS JOIN THE BOARD OF<br />

GUERNSEY EMPLOYMENT TRUST<br />

GET has strengthened its Board by appointing Nick<br />

Graham and Alison Hawkins as Non-Executive Directors.<br />

Nick Graham, owner of OSA Recruitment, brings 28<br />

years of recruitment experience to the table. He said,<br />

'We have worked with GET previously from a recruitment<br />

perspective, and I knew it was an excellent organisation.<br />

When I met to discuss joining the Board I learned much<br />

more about the great work they do and have been<br />

thoroughly impressed by the professionalism and the<br />

dedication of the team.'<br />

Alison Hawkins, Senior HR Manager at BWCI Group<br />

and committee member of the CIPD Guernsey branch,<br />

brings 18 years of management and human resources<br />

experience. Alison has worked closely with the supported<br />

employment service in its current and previous form for<br />

seven years. She has provided employment opportunities<br />

to disabled and disadvantaged people through BWCI<br />

Group, as well as promoting GET’s services and hosting<br />

GET’s training to the CIPD membership.<br />

Nick and Alison join the other Non-Executive Directors,<br />

all well known within their respective fields; Sir John<br />

Collins (Chair), Jurat Stephen Jones OBE, Glen<br />

Broadhurst, Advocate Jessica Roland and Jim Roberts.<br />

Sir John says 'A strong and decisive Board has been one<br />

of the pillars of GET’s success. With the appointment<br />

of Nick and Alison we now bring the Board back up to<br />

strength, and are very fortunate to have two such able<br />

people join us.'<br />

Employees from across BDO’s audit, tax and<br />

outsourcing teams have been promoted to<br />

senior positions in recognition of their continued<br />

commitment to clients and in light of the firm’s<br />

continued growth.<br />

Ronan Morrison has been promoted to Senior<br />

Manager, Aaron Ockleford, Chris Freeman, Rob<br />

McGregor and Trina Street have been promoted to<br />

Manager and Zak Damarell, Shelley Tostevin, Zoe<br />

Jackson and Takudzwa Vimbe have been promoted<br />

to Supervisor.<br />

Managing Director Richard Searle said: ‘We are<br />

committed to helping people reach their full potential<br />

and offering opportunities to learn and progress is<br />

a key part of our people strategy. Each one of these<br />

employees has proven themselves a valuable part of<br />

our team as we continue to grow so they are all very<br />

deserving of a larger role in our future.’<br />

AUDIT SPECIALIST JOINS RAVENSCROFT BOARD<br />

Rob Hutchinson, an accountant with more than 30 years’<br />

experience, has joined the board of Ravenscroft Holdings<br />

Limited. Rob spent 28 years with KPMG including leading<br />

the firm’s fund and private equity practices for seven<br />

years and five years as head of audit for KPMG in the<br />

Channel Islands. He retired from practice in 2014 but<br />

now holds a number of non-executive director positions<br />

including chair of the audit committee at Syncona, which<br />

invests in innovative areas of healthcare.<br />

Chairman Stephen Lansdown said Rob brought valuable<br />

skills to the board, which also recently appointed digital<br />

entrepreneur Chris Barling.<br />

‘Rob specialised in the audit of banking and fund clients<br />

at KPMG and so his broad financial experience will<br />

complement the skills of the rest of the board. I have<br />

every confidence that the Ravenscroft board now has<br />

the expertise to guide the company through its plans for<br />

growth,’ he said.<br />
