LOCATION
The facility is located on the Old National Road from Athens to Corinth, close to the intersection of
the Athens Toll Expressway (Attiki Odos) and the National Motorway. It is 25km from Athens
downtown and Piraeus port and 50 km from the Athens New International Airport, less than half
an hour highway drive. In the nearby city of Elefsis one can find a general hospital, police and
coast guard stations, fire brigade, post office, public telecommunications, government
administrative services, various hotels and restaurants.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
The Company is licensed by the Greek Authorities for Building of Vessels, Conversions, Repairs and
Maintenance and is listed in the Greek Special Registry (top category) Operates under ISO
9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and OHSAS 18001 as observed by Bureau Veritas. Operates in
accordance with ISPS code as observed by the Greek Port Authorities. Operates as a tax free
zone, licensed by the Greek Authorities.
ENVIRONMENT
The Company manages the collection and disposal of
wastes solid and liquid (i.e. sewage, oily fluids),
batteries and other from vessels through licensed
entities for recycling, as required by the Greek
Authorities (Ministry of Development, Competition
and Shipping) in line with MARPOL and EU / Greek
Directives. The Company has a Pollution Contingency
Plan engaging as well, a licensed third party in case
of an incident. Outdated computers, screens,
computer related auxiliaries, electronic equipment,
mobile phones etc are handed to the near-by
municipality licensed facilities to be environmentally
disposed. Glass, paper, plastic, aluminum cans,
packaging material etc are collected monthly by a
licensed private entity to be environmentally
disposed.
SERVICES
The facility can provide berthing for large vessels up to
200m with a maximum draft capacity of 20m. Services
available on site include vehicle access to vessels, power,
telecommunications, water, waste, fuel, storage, office
space and 24 hour security & CCTV.
